Hi. I live in the rainy pacific northwest (think Seattle). I am considering a standing seam metal roof with peel & stick in the valleys and a synthetic breathable membrane over the entire roof. On top of this membrane we would be adding a 10mm thick breathable rainscreen 3D mesh. Right now I have some mold in my attic, very little, but some. The roof is constructed with 2x8 ceiling joists. From what you are saying, it sounds OK to install directly over the rubber membrane. The pitch of the roof is a about 1.25:12 I just bought a round house, 2 stories. I think it could be called a yurt but it is built out of cypress. The present roof has a good bit of water damage. It is covered with shingles, but I don't think the slope is proper for shingles. I want to use metal roofing, but I haven't decided on the metal product I want for the job.
