I have learned alot after positing my wall oven question. Ultimately, my current junction box is mounted on top of the drywall directly behind my walloven. The junction box is 1/2 inch to tall. (My oven likes about 1/2 inch to be able to go into the opening all the way back. The current cable is about 2 feet too short to reach the new location. I can change the cable; however, it occurs to me that a junction box would allow me to simply extend the existing wiring to the new location. In the new arrangement, the junction box would remain accessible but would reside behind the fridge out of sight.

Replacing an old 27" GE Profile with a new Cafe 27" (also GE). Old oven is out. New oven (in picture) fits the cutout perfectly, but is slightly deeper. The location of the current junction box won't work, and would have to move to the top right corner to fit the cutout in the oven, so it can slide all the way to the wall.
